"A" might be a good place to start.

Aha! You never said what you were looking for.

First, look under Bookkeepers. You'll see some who specialize in samll businesses. Very few small businesses need an Accountant. The bookkeepers you'll see listed can usually do all you need. Main time you need an Accountant is when you are borrowing from a bank and they want an Audited Financail Statement.

For taxes, and often better advice for a small business, those bookkeepers who advertise specializing in small business are great and a lot less expensive.

As far as which to choose, talk to your neighborhood businesses. Hair salons, dry cleaners, auto shops, insurance guys, etc. Ask who they use or recommend.

Easiest for me was to ask my college accounting professor who he recommended. Or, you can call up a local business that is similar in size and whatnot and ask who they use. If you have a friend who runs a business, ask them. People are usually quick to refer someone.
