Advertising: what would I have to do?

What would I have to do so I can have people buy a months worth of advertising from me?

Besides put together an avertisement, I'm talking about any sort of coding end stuff I need to do?

I'd say the first thing you have to do is have a convincing reason why people should buy advertising from you. What do you have to offer? What will the advertisers get out of it? In my opinion, if you can't answer those two questions it won't matter how good your code is.

Adding on to what Gunslingergirl said: If it is a website you have, then the best way to justify why someone should pay to advertise your site is by the amount of traffic going to your site. So you need to start promoting ASAP!

build it (visitors, viewers, listeners, readers) and they will come (advertisers)

What it's in it for me? Maybe the right question for you. Because I am also struggled for long time with this kind of problem. I'm not successful yet but at least I have clients.

Can you be more specific? Are you really looking at how to have people advertise on your website, or are you using something different?
