Default Any QuickBooks Experts?

Hi Everybody:

I just got into the business of offering graphic design services. I started charging for my services last month, and to keep my books, I purchased and installed a copy of Quickbooks Simple Start. I'm working with an accountant, and I've learned some of the basics of using Quickbooks, but I thought it might be helpful to get tips from the members here who use Quickbooks. For example, tomorrow I plan to purchase some writable DVDs to back up my business files on my computer. I was going to pay for the DVDs by writing a check drawn on my business checking account. How would I go about entering this transaction into Quickbooks Simple Start?

Thanks!

Jagella

It may not be easily available, but Wiley used to sell a book I wrote called QuickBooks Simple Start for Dummies.... not to suggest you're a dummy... :-)

If you recommend it, and I continue to have trouble, I will buy a copy. I saw the book on Amazon.com, by the way.

If you're in a bookstore, you might also be able to get it there. The advantage of a bricks and mortar store is that you can do a thumb-through test before you buy to see if book works for you.

In any case, good luck,
