Hi, Just introducing myself, Luanne aka nanalulu. As far as being a small business owner, I owned gift stores in California for about 16-17 years. I have sold on Ebay for 6 years & just started my own web store, I joined to watch the forums from time to time to gain information. Right now I am trying to learn all I can about SEO. It seems overwhelming to me!

I am a mother to 4 & have grandchild #8 on the way. Regards!

Welcome, Luanne. SEO deos seem overwhelming at first, and there is a lot of bogus info out there. Just remember this and you will be fine. The person using the search engine is a "customer" to the search engine, so they must deliver good results to keep that customer happy. When optimizing for search engines, you want to help them serve their customer. Avoid any "tricks" and you will never be penalized. This takes time and effort, so many people are tempted to look for shortcuts. Don't do anything you wouldn't want done to you if the roles were reversed and you will do much better sorting out good SEO advice from bad.
