Default Shopping Cart for Wholesale

Hey all, I currently have a wholesale ecommerce solution on my website. We basically only accept orders above $200 but will ship any quantity. In the last 6 months we have received about 30 orders, but site has been great since existing customers use it to view our newest items and order via telephone or fax.

Right now I my sales person is handling the website and doesn't have time to update the site or post new items or take out out of stock items. Since we sell via many means from our warehouse I cannot use the inventory on the website to do everything. Does anyone know of a web company who can provide these services to us? I could email them our inventory sheet weekly and they can update the website. Additionally we can send them photos and they can upload the items with the prices, style numbers, pictures, etc. For a computer knowledgeable person this work takes minutes, but for my inexperienced staff who are usually busy fulfilling orders this takes forever or just doesn't get done.

I know that a lot of graphic design/programming firms have systems set up where you can pay a monthly fee and have this kind of work done for you. We've charged anywhere from $20-75 a month depending on how much work you need changed and such. I think prices will vary on this kind of service. I'd talk to your programmers or find another firm you trust and see what kind of rates they could give you.

Depending on the system needed - you could possibly import your products as well into the database on the site

There was a post here in the last few weeks by someone who worked for an outsourcing company. I don't remember what the thread was about. What the poster did is work out of her home for a company that needed clerical / book keeping etc. I think they did some web services as well.

What you are really talking about is a clerical function. Be careful though, people are messing with your database.

I assume you have an inventory system somewhere that keeps track of what is in stock. For an online company this is usually maintained on your web sites database. You might want to talk with a web designer about integrating your existing inventory system to your web site.

Edit: I also had another thought. I sent you a PM.
