Default Potential problems using this business name?

Hi everyone,

I'm about to file the appropriate paperwork in my state. My concern is that I would like to use the word "Thinkjet" as part of my company name. A quick Google search shows several products using this term, IBM (laptop), HP and Cannon (printers).

Will I run into any problems using this term in my company and domain name?

Thanks!

You can do a trademark search here: Trademark Electronic Search System. The trademark use to belong to Hewlett Packard, but it looks like it's been canceled. I'd be really careful though.

Well, you don't play around. Not just using some little place around the corner's name. Go first class!

But talk to an attorney before you do. I would not accept anything you see on a forum as legal advice in this situation.

I hope my remarks above weren't interpreted as me saying it's OK to go ahead and use it! If it were me I wouldn't risk it. If you feel you must use it, I would definitely talk to an attorney first.
