Thanks for the larger images Val. I really like the way you use color.

Nice work! I do so much of my work on computer now, I rarely touch the old tools I grew up using. Maybe it's because it was always a hobby and not a business, but I do miss it at times. I really developed a passion for sketching in color pencil back in the early '90's. Prior to that, most of my work was pencil, acrylic paint, or charcoal. I never did get into oils. Right or wrong, I didn't like the long drying time and turpentine. It does produce beautiful work though.

Val, very nice. I like your ... almost impressionist style of the boats. I also like your abstracts. They beg to be touched. Do you have an outlet to sell your art? ... assuming you even want to sell it.

Default words every artist loves to hear!

I thank you all for the kind words. You know us artists....vanity is thy name! I think I am almost as proud of the fact that I got them on here without any help, as I am from the compliments

Yes, all those works are for sale. I am currently rebuilding my portfolio with new works to do the slide, submission thing to prospective galleries.
I have been selling my work for about 5 years now. I also do clay sculpture, mural work, set work for childrens theatre, and in the past I sold hand painted cards....I think you get the idea! lol. As you well know it is hard to make a full time career out of art in small communities, so I do what I can. I have been fortunate and then not so fortunate at times. Overall, I can not complain.

PS~ No, I do not have a website or personal gallery inwhich to sell my work, and places I have listed online have generally buried my work among the masses without bearing fruit.

I agree with MVD. Your art deserves to be seen ... by as many people as possible. And if you're interested in selling it ... the web is the place.

I would like to have a website. Anyone care to tell me where, who, how, how much??

I have been on this computer so much this week trying to research, analyze, and form ideas that my head is spinning.

Sarge, are you the artist? If you are.....I like the Trout piece, and looove the earthsong windchimes...gonna have to drop some hints for upcoming holidays!

Val, we have a lot of web designers here including myself. Most of us would be a good choice as we are small business supporting small business. I could help you demystify the Internet so you understand it a little better. As for cost, I can help you make the most of any budget. If you don't have thousands to spend, the good news is you can do amazingly well for hundreds. The real key is to make your web site flow with your offline marketing because the web has unlimited potential, but it does not work without good planning.

Val,

No, I am not the artist. My sister-in-law.

I made the web sites, though!

But ... I don't do it for a living ... just for myself since I'm your basic garden-variety cheapskate.
