thank you for your honest words. You are right. I do plan to learn more about running a business and would like to become more active in this community. It seems I have a lot to learn with introductions as well.

Yeah and hope you know I wasn't trying to be harsh or anything. I think you came here with honest intentions and look forward to you becoming a valuable member of the community.

Just thought I'd point out what I did to explain how things might come across sometimes.

Vangogh, you're a natural peace keeper. I hope my comments were taken the way I intended them. I wanted to be clear this was against the so-called marketing professionals who poison the web, not against our new member. I too figured it was an honest post, but I question some of the people in the higher ranks.

The old saying still works for a reason. You catch more flies with honey.

Too often what gets lost in translation on the net is that personal touch.
Think in terms of bricks and mortar or real life. You wouldn't run up to a bunch of strangers for the first time and start yapping about your biz or even something that benefits them. Its just not natural.

I have various projects and things I market but I come in here to gain insights and offer some. If some from the forum become clients then fantastic.
Building trust and relationships still work even in the 21st century. You build up trust and your network increases. Those that you have built relationships with could end up "working" for you and give you word of mouth business.
Real Estate agents probably understand this the best. After building their business the referrals end being between 50-75% or more of their business. Thats what you want. Most of your time being spent on closing a deal rather than looking for one.
Consider this a great lesson. Van Gogh was right on the money.
Good luck

As of September 14, 2006, I am proud to announce that Kurt Angle has officially taken my product and seen results with the quick recovery of his injuries. He is a pretty popular guy for wrestling fans, and my best friend is working on getting his testimony and link to my business on his website! Happy day^^
