good barcode scaning system

Does anybody know a good package to introducing barcoding inventory in your business. I have seen several packages on the net but vary in cost and features. I am shopping around for a friend but if affordable might get one for my self. any pointers or comments is apreciated.

One of the companies that works with our company develops custom software for handhelds including barcode scanning. They have a product called WithoutWire. I'm not sure on their pricing but I've seen a few of their wireless apps and they are quite good at what they do.

thanks for that tip, I checked out the link. It looks like services catered to much larger businesses than mine, I was looking for a package that includes software, bar code scanner and printer which will great for inventory control and management. I know that there are affordable options for smaller businesses so I am keeping an eye out for a good deal.
