I hate to do a public lynching, but maybe this will give people who are considering spamming something to think about. User 'Harshbarger' now has the scarlet letter pinned to his username, and has been banned. I've recorded his IP, so if he logs on using a different username I'll know it. Plus, I've banned any mention of his website on the Small Business Forum. Many of you know that if you play nice, chances are good that people on this forum, and other forums, will visit your website. If you spam, this is what will happen to you.

How do you 'play nice'? Easy, just put your url, your pitch, or whatever promotional info you want into your signature. You can find your signature by clicking the 'user cp' button at the top. Post only helpful, informational information, and no self-promotion. People will see your post, and they'll see your signature. Think of your signature like you think of your business card. If you see someone's signature here that you think is really nice, and you don't know how they did it, just ask. It's not difficult to do, and oonce you get it set, it is automatically appended to each post you make. It is sure a lot nicer than a public lynching.
