Question Is incorporation in Delaware all its cracked up to be?

I am thinking about incorporating (s-corp) in Delaware even though I live in Texas. Has any one else out there done it? Is it really the best place to go? Thanks for the input.

Have a blessed day,
Frances

Why are you incorporating? Just curious. Delaware has the lowest state filing fees, that's why people file there.

I am incorporating (or maybe forming an LLC) because I am starting a publishing company and I want my business name to be valid even if I move from the county that I live in. Otherwise I guess I could just file the DBA paperwork and be done with it. I also want to look professional. I know that there are tax considerations, but I am still researching those. I won't make any money for a couple of years, then the projected profits are about $40K.
Have a blessed day,
Frances
