Lightbulb Entrepreneurial Chef?

I have a business idea but need a chef, in the Central Ohio area, willing to take the chance with me. Anyone interested or know someone??? I'm a good cook but I don't know if I'm that good.

Heh, you're full of ideas, eh? Why not try poaching the cook from some of the best restaurants in your area?

Yeah, I guess so. It might be difficult to get someone to leave a stable job for a start up idea. I'm checking with a loan officer to see how much of an SBA loan I can get ... but money won't make my meatloaf any more moist!!!

LoL. You know, this might be a case for a good use of the H1B program.

Hey Joshua,

Why don't you see if there is a local college that teaches restaurant style cooking? There may be students who would be willing to take on the concept as a class project. If you pitch it right, you can make it sound so thrilling that they'll do it for free!! And they will get some experience.

While the local community college has one of the best culinary schools in the midwest, I need someone with experience in this area as well as some start up capital. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You know what I am doing? I advertised in the news paper. After that I went and talked to a few friends and got a few people. Each person that contacted me I went through many many tests. If they have background, how well they cook (they have to cook for me), and many more.
