Default Check List

Question:

Is there a book that would show a check list of licenses, tax requirements, Insurance and so on to start up a business? If so Construction business? I'm know of some things, but I would like to make sure I have everything.

Check with your state's web site. Look for a business resources section (or some other similar term). They usually list permits and licenses. If you can't find it, call your local Small Business Administration office. They should have this info or at least know where to get it. The SBA will also have information on insurance.

As for taxes, check with your state's tax board web site and go to www.irs.gov.
