What kind of equipment? And do you have a contract with them - especially stating you will get it back, they are responsible for it, etc?

I know my roommate is supplied with a laptop and a cellular phone for his company that he works for. But I would also think it matters what you are asking to be store - i.e. if you are wanting them to store plutonium, you might have a few problems.

Default Nope, no plutonium

The equipment would be a vacuum, some spray bottles and rags...
Can I allow that within the law and not brake any regulations?
It would be a lot more convienent that way to have the equipment stored at their homes because it's used daily and dosn't have to be stored in the office.

So... any input on that anyone?

I searched thru some Find California Code - I could not locate anything about that though. Someone on here might know exactly, it might be that you might have pay "rent" for the use of their home since they are employees? Contractors would probably be totally different and easier to have them store that type of equipment.

Some of it will depend on whats in the spray bottles. It its the least bit nasty, one could run into problems.

California Labor & Workforce Development Agency and Labor and Industries, Washington State as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration - OSHA might be a place to start.
