Smile please review "New" website

Hi All,

I just posted my first thread introducing myself and my new website.
If you can please take a moment to view my "New" website. I have yet to generate income from it and would like your unbiased opinion of the site in general, offer any "fresh" ideas on how to improve it or how to optimize it.
Your time and feedback is greatly appreciated. Please see:

Thank you,
Linda

Linda:

I think you have a great idea with the "everything you've ever wanted in leather and more." That is a good Unique Selling Proposition -- a reason your customers should buy from you and nobody else. You also seem to have good photos of your items.

I noticed quite a few words misspelled on several pages. People are still a bit leery of online businesses (which seems strange to those of us who "live" online, but there are enough hucksters out there). Misspellings make you less trustworthy.

You could add a bit more of an introduction on your home page. Just a paragraph spelling out why they will feel so good with one of your jackets on their back. Also, a sentence or two of description for each item to help sell them -- like in a good print catalogue. Check out Land's End (www.landsend.com) they have an awesome site.

You might want to reconsider the "links" page -- if someone is shopping, and thinking they may buy from you, but then navigates away from your site, they may never come back. Keep them there till you have their money! Also, a point-of-action guarantee would be helpful. Beside every "buy it now" button, put a link to your return policy. That is the moment your customer will have doubts, and the moment you need to be there to answer those doubts.

Hope this helps!

Hi, Linda. Hope you had a good 4th!

On the home page, apparel is misspelled. On the about us page, Saginaw is missing an "a". On the right hand column under "leather news" you are missing a period after daily, and the ".com" at the end of advertisingmediaworks.com is disconnected.

That's all that jumped out at me. Good luck!
