Default When it comes to shoes and clothing...

Hi Tiffani

When it comes to shoes and clothing, you better make sure you target women first, then gaymen, then the rest. My mom used to sell high quality shoes for women . Online retailers may take time to catch up, I know people that have never made profits trying to sell shoes and clothing online. You may like to create a reasonable marketing strategy first, by listing you target population (psychographics and demographics) , you can also aid your self by posting your company's banners on other websites and bidding sites such as ebay and overstock. On the other hand make sure you sell quality and creat a dang good website with 3D pics and CS available. You may also like to visit the SBA web site, which gives a "to do list" and training in how to start your ownbusiness. You can also borrow some Dummies' books from the Local Lib. such as Selling online for Dummies and Marketing Kit for Dummies.

I mean I don't know how much you know, but it seems that you are just starting and don't know how to start. You may like to start thinking what king of clothing you want to sell, to whom, where to get it, check on pricing, etc.
Let me know how your reaserch and Biz plan goes.
Tony

You might contact Eyal for Rebels Shoes. He is a client of ours and I think mainly sales wholesale.

legally speaking.. what all would I need? besides a business license.. tax id.. ?

and one more for now.. which was allready asked.. but , do you need to get permission before selling nike products.. ?

EtherLotus, I can answer the question about hiring someone to design and maintain the site. Absolutely you can. You can either hire someone and keep that person on staff or hire a web designer to design and develop a site for you. Most also offer maintenance services beyond the initial design.

There are several people on this forum who are in the web design business myself included. I've seen the work of each of them and would recommend all.
