We all need money.

Here's the secret to making it online. Work out a sound business model and then work very hard on your business.

There really isn't anything like a free ride. If something out there is promising you'll make money without having to work for it then it's most likely just trying to rip you off in some way.

There are lots of things you can do to make money online, but the key to all of them is hard work.

Don't forget time. The scams all take advantage of a desire for quick and easy. Neither one is realistic. The payoff comes after working hard long enough. Most people give up too soon or they aren't prepared to tough it out for the long haul.

Many years ago I heard a very successful person make the statement that people considered him "lucky." His response was, "The harder I work, the luckier I get."

I was trying to figure out a way to answer this question earlier this morning and couldn't come up with anything that didn't sound exasperated. This question seems to come up here a lot, as though running an online business is some magical key to making money more easily.

I could rant on about this, but instead I'll just second cbscreative and vangogh. They're right on the money.

Recently, I had a family member ask me what would be a best seller for them to sell on ebay. My answer...If I knew that I'd be selling it myself. There is no magic product that's going to make you an overnight millionaire while you sit in your lounge chair.

As I always answer this question. "On line" is not the business model, it is merely the marketing tool for the business.
Come up with what you want to do first, and then decide what you need to do online to promote and market it, if anything.

Everything will not work online, and in reverse, just because you have a website, does not mean you will be successful.

The Internet is not the "make money online, just get a domain" supermarket.

It is a tool just like T.V. and Radio. What ever you do you have to apply the basic principles, of marketing, knowledge , hard work, dedication and education.
You missed out on "any old .com will make money," by about 10 years.

If you need money NOW, the internet is the last place to look for a quick buck. Selling Oranges on the side of the freeway will see monetary results a lot faster.

actually i think cleaning windows with a squeegie on the side of the road would see better results, less overhead... no spoilage of product.

That's not a bad business model - hiring hordes of homeless people to wear aprons and hats and clean windows at street corners... (-;

and sell advertising on the aprons, and ball caps! C'Mon, that is killer!
The homeless make money, you get human mobile billboards on busy street corners at eye level, and you are contributing to society by whoring out the homeless.
It's brilliant!
Homeless is not so touchy anymore, I think it could really fly. I don't see any human rights people getting in the way, after all, they only complain when the homeless get their rights trounced on, but i don't see them getting these people any homes and money.
