Congratulations on your new start up. I visited your website and noticed several issues that could be addressed.

-The site design is very plain and you have errors in your code which you simply cannot have if you are a web design service company.

-Your message is not clearly communicated. The table that says "Who we are" doesn't say who you are.

-The software and products you have listed are irrelavant. No one cares that you have Windows 98 or a cdrom.

There are several things that you can and should do to improve your site. If you are interested in consulting help feel free to PM me.

Thank you for your constructive criticism and for taking the time to look at my site.

<<-The site design is very plain>>

I know the site is plain. A) It reflects the simple, uncluttered feel I wish to convey to my clients, and B) I will continue to work on it as I have time, adding, improving and fleshing out the site.

<<Your message is not clearly communicated. The table that says "Who we are" doesn't say who you are. >>

My copy has not been completely refined as yet. I do have a copywriter who is going to help me with it, but he is doing it as a favor for me since I am starting up very much on a shoestring, so I will wait for him to have time to spare for it. Meanwhile, I'm afraid my own copywriting skills will have to do. Notice I don't bill myself as a marketing or advertising expert.

<<The software and products you have listed are irrelavant. No one cares that you have Windows 98 or a cdrom. >>

Here, I am afraid, you are mistaken. Many of my clients are people who are very low-tech. They often want to know exactly what kind of operating system or hardware I have available, and if I can use the materials they provide for various projects, including things like CD Roms. Things that seem very obvious to you and me are very NOT obvious to them - that's why they're hiring me. They don't want to deal with it, so I do it for them. It is for those clients that the very extensive list of software and hardware is provided. This way, all the information is at their fingertips.

Again, I appreciate your time and comments. I do take all such comments into consideration and will keep them in mind when working on revisions.

Valerie

Hi Valerie, and welcome to the Small Business Forum!
I had a quick look at your site too. It does seem a bit confusing. A lot of the services you offer seem unrelated. Are you personally providing all of those services yourself or do you have employees? Have you considered breaking up your services offered onto separate websites so you can highlight a specific service on a single website? The reason I suggest this is because I personally would be turned off if I was looking for a web designer and host and found the company offering some of the other services you offered as well. Not that I think you'd do a poor job, just I'd want to be going with a business that specializes in that service, not one that tries to do everything.
