Default We Need a New Design

Small Business Forum needs a new design. Our old design didn't work too well importing to the new vBulletin 3.o. I'm looking for ideas for a new design. All advice will be appreciated!

I think you should have a landing page, with last 5 to 10 posts from the forum therein {as a hack/mod}..

On the landing page, you should have the key points to building for small businesses.

Yea, I had something like that, but then I upgraded to vBulletin 3. Since it's still in beta, the Jelsoft team has asked that people don't start making modules and we all have to wait until the final release. I'll probably get vBportal when it's ready.

Peter,

Chris {of DevBox.net} has a simple landing page, and he's using the latest version of vbulletin.. check out what I mean by having a neat one.. you could have something like that too

DevBox has a nice design. It's not really a simple landing page, and it's not part of the forum. What he has there looks like a regular CMS. I don't know how integrated he has it with his forum, but what I'm planning is to have it totally integrated, and considering my lack of skill with coding PHP, it's better for me to use a product like vbPortal. It's actually a very nice addon for vBulletin, I've used it before on websites that I no longer own.

If you're looking for a format style, here is one that I like:

http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/herbs/

Garden web has numerous forum sections, with easy to read/follow threads. There are also fewer buttons, etc. on each page. Very clean design.

Looking forward to the new format.
