The answer to your question relies on one simple answer - how much do you need RIGHT NOW.

I would not invest in a ton of hardware (inventory) if I do not have it sold. Try to figure our how much you need and GO LOCAL if you can. You would be surprised how negotiable a local vendor is at bulk - even Home Depot for that matter (Yes you can negotiate with then if you have a legitimate bus license and Tax ID#). Besides, you will build a great relationship with a local who could turn a lot of sales for you.

Go to Home Depot, Target, Wal-Mart and look at the products over there. Look for the manufacturer name and then search for that company on google. Find it and contact them with your questions. That would be my approach.

I think all the above are good suggestions butt do not rule out your local lumberyard. They might display the product you made with purchases made there?

Don’t just limit yourself to one vendor of any necessary items either. Make sure you have back up suppliers for everything.

Are you making these play toys with plastic? Lumber? etc.... what kind of suppliers do you need? Tools?

Good Luck and let me know when you have product to sell I have 10 kids and some of them are starting to give me grand kids, I might be able to throw some work your way, I currently want to buy some kind of a back yard playground for my two youngest who are 2+ and 4+ years old.
