Default US Checking Account and Billing address

This is my first post to this forum so Hello to all.

I live in Australia and I need to set up a US billing Account and Billing Address. I was wondering if anyone new how I could legally do this not being a US citizen?

Thank in advance,

We have been struggling with this for quite some time since we get a lot of people in other countries other than the US that need a merchant account. The billing address does not seem as difficult to set up as the bank account though. Due to the Patriot Act, they have to basically see you. I did find this site though: http://www.chase.com/cm/cs?pagename=...pening/faqs#n4 - we have not used them yet. We have referred some people over to them but have yet to hear back from them though so I do not know if they were turned down or if Chase requested too much information. I would be interested in hearing though what you found out if you decide to use them or what others have to suggest.

The easiest way to do this is via a local law fiirm in the country you reside. Large law firms are networked an many can do the paperwork for a new business in another country as a rep on your behalf. That included banking (although if you want funds wired to another country from a US business get ready for some IRS issues).

Linklaters is one firm I have used out of England to set up accounts and business licenses all over Eurpoe. They were not cheap, but after it was all said and done it was cheaper than my time trying to figure it out - the paperwork is massive!

You can try to locate some international law firms at Matrindale Hubbell

The best way to establish a USA business identity is to create a sub s corp in Nevada or Delaware.

As a Nevada or Delaware Corp The business functions like an individual of the USA and can do anything legal any individual can do.

Just my $.02 cents

If you need a lawyer in Nevada who can set up a corp for you send me an email and I will gladly refer you to the guy I use.
