Default new site / advice please

Howdy...

Just started a design and online communications company called Red Productions, which offers web design, print design, online marketing and online PR. You can visit us at http://www.redproductions.net - if anyone has any thoughts about the site or getting this type of business off the ground, I'd love to hear them.

Regards

Red Productions

Looks great. You might want to get rid of IPStat at the bottom and just use an internal traffic monitoring system.

I would make the text a little larger, a tad small for me. Also, I would optimize it for search engines. A lot of your images don't have alt tags, your home page is a little bereft of content. I would add more text, describe the services you offer in a little more detail. Perhaps add a few more pics or flash---it seems a little barren. You're a design company, show off your creativity.

Do some keyword research and figure out what keywords you want your site to target. As a new site in a very competitive field, you will probably want to go for less competitive keywords at this point, which are still targeted to what you are selling.

Yeah that pop-up just isn't worth it. You've got so much whitespace on the left there that a big image inviting the user to click to pop open that window (giving them a choice) or even placing that information there itself.
