I am a single person running my own LLC business. I have no employees and I need to get a good health insurance plan for just myself. I am trying to get some good ideas on different health plans and what they are going to cost me. I would like to stay with one of the bigger health insurance companies such as Aetna or BCBS because their network of doctors and hospitals are way bigger than the small guys.
I live in NJ so I don't know if I need a health plan specific to NJ or not.. Thanks |

I live in Philladelphia and i use Aetna. My deductible is high. I don't get regular checkups. But if i become hopitalized, medical bills won't ruin me.
Best of luck to you. |

They've got several options. I believe they off one to a 35-40 year old for 130 per month. Relatively cheap-- but there's approximately a 2,000 to 2,500 dollar deductible. Many would consider this to be under-insured but it's certainly better than being bare.
do a google search, they should have a website that details the multiple plans that they have-- package a, package B, package C, etc. |

well currently I can take COBRA from my work plan through Aetna for $375 per month. They said without COBRA that same plan would be $650 per month!!!!!!!!

Well it sound like you have quite a bit of good coverage (you're certainly paying for it) You simply have to decide how much coverage (how high of a deductible) you are willing to tolerate.
best of luck |

All insurance varies from state to state, since each state has different regulatory agencies. And it will also vary by region in the same state, so any figures you get will not be correct for your individual case.
Generally, the best plan can be gotten through trade associations, chambers of commerce, etc. Your best bet is to investigate membership in you state or regional trade association or local chamber of commerce. You can check the rates before you join, but sine they are all in a group plan, you will generally do better than you would buying as an individual.

I found some good beginnings by doing a google on this -
cosmetic packaging machinery parts association Every state has a "trade and industry" association, under some name or another. If you are a sales rep or agent, there are a number of associations, clubs, etc of salespeople, both state and in many metro areas.
