I've been accused of babbling myself in the past, so don't feel alone in that Vangogh.

Since Jen was kind enough to provide wine, I'd like a nice Reisling, Late Harvest preferably, as that is a bit sweeter. We have a great local winery near Traverse City that does a terrific late harvest Reisling.

Failing that, a chocolate martini is always nice.

Kristine, as I recall, Traverse City has a winery that could be the same one you're referring to. They have a hilltop restaurant that overlooks their vinyards. I should make a point of going up there in the fall and trying that restaurant, it's only a couple hours drive for us.

I've never had a chocolate martini, but it does sound pretty good.

Then again so does a plain old beer. Hmm? I do have some brats in the fridge and it's warm enough here for the grill. Anyone want to come by for a late year bbq?

Bring anything you want and we'll toss it on the grill.

We could have grilled here last week when we had a couple days of about 70 degrees. Two days later, we got snow and it's been winter ever since. Oh well, it's December. I loved the unseasonal warm weather, but I also love to X-country ski, so I plan on enjoying this.

Beer sounds good, but maybe after skiing, an Irish coffee might be a good choice too.

Steve (CBS),

The winery I was referring to us Chateau Grand Traverse. I'm betting you are thinking of Chateau Chantal. They're the only winery I know of that has a restaurant. I've never been, but I've heard it is really nice.

I'd vote for coffee with Baileys, or maybe hot chocolate with peppermint schnappes and whipped cream. Really warms you up after a day in the snow.

By the way, right now it is snowing to beat the band here. If anyone needs some snow, I have a bunch to spare.

Steve (Vangogh),

Chocolate martinis are really good. I'm also always up for a good bbq. Throw some ribs or a nice steak on the grill and I'm there.

I'll even make my quadruple chocolate brownies for dessert.

And yes, if you think you're sensing a theme in my posts about food and drink, you would be right.

If we're gonna do one last grilling for the year, put me down for a nice Black Angus Top Sirloin and a choice Cabernet. I've got a great recipe for baked potatoes too.

Honest, officer, I'm sober. I can make these sorts of mistakes without being under the influence of anything. I know, that's scary.

CBS, I'm in for the Top Sirloin and baked potatoes and a nice Cabernet. It sounds like a plan!

I sorry ociffer. It won hoppen agin. I swear im ok to type

I think I have the shopping list. All those steaks and ribs are going to taste good and yum on the brownies. You know we can grill here just about year round. We won't be sitting out in shorts every day, but we might be able to even in January or February.

So what side dishes do we all want? We got the potatoes. Anyone want them mashed?

Too bad corn on the cob is not in season. Better get dental floss with that though, but it's just not the same if it's not in season.

Perhaps a veggie medley stir fried in olive oil and seasonings.
